WaterCoach Professional ACE Approved Rowing Education Program by WaterRower WaterCoach Professional is aimed at fitness professionals or those with a basic knowledge of sports science who want to increase their understanding of the sport of rowing.
This online course covers the technical and physiological aspects of rowing, and shares the training methodology used by rowers. Our hope is that with increased knowledge you, the instructor, will be able to offer a higher level of advice to users of rowing machines (either in gyms or at home) on how best to realise the unrivalled physical benefits of rowing.
WaterCoach Professional is divided into 2 levels, Level I and Level II. Level I - this is a FREE online introductory theoretical course. It covers various aspects of rowing and is a prerequisite for Level II. Level I is approved by the American Council on Exercise (ACE) Academy and Continuing Education Credits (0.4 ACE credits) are awarded upon completion.
Level II - is a half day face to face practical course drawing on the knowledge gained from Level I. Level II courses are only available upon demand and instructor availability. Please note WaterCoach Professional is focused more on one-on-one personal instruction and is seen as a stepping stone to becoming a group rowing instructor.
