Mr. J.F. - Owner; MVP Fitness,
Amherst, MA
I've been a group fitness instructor for 3 years, and the WaterCrew
program has re-energized me as an instructor and educator in the fitness
industry.
It's a great workout that you should not be intimidated to try.
There's no getter way to get a full-body, NO IMPACT workout, that
targets your core as well. I'd recommend this workout to anyone.

I teach and take rowing because
nothing is as fun or as physically challenging and rewarding as rowing.
Personally, rowing has changed everything about my fitness. Rowing gives
me one of the most complete workouts I can find in the gym. I stay
injury free and when I run or teach classes now I feel light, faster and
recover more quickly. Rowing on the machines feels smooth and powerful
due to the water component and sound. Many of us row almost every day
and feel stronger instead of exhausted or worn out like we used to feel
from running and spinning every day.
I have been a gym owner for ten years and have seen classes come and go.
This one is here to stay since it is rewarding for all levels of
fitness, all ages and even people with some type of minor injury. We
have several gym members who row every day because they have found it is
the one thing that has completely alleviated their chronic back pain.
They tell me if they stop all their original problems come back.
My classes range in ages from 18 to 75,. We ask members to take a 45
minute orientation class because correct technique on the rower
determines how successful the workout is. Once you know how to drive up
your intensity to your own challenging pace you can row constantly and
never find you've hit a plateau. Each person can row at their own
intensity level due to the way the machine is designed. This is
especially fun for people who have not been physically able to join a
tougher class but are looking for a group fitness experience.
Rowing really does it all! I truly can't imagine staying fit without it.

WaterCrew Instructor at East Bay Fitness, Warren, RI
1 The rowing workout is an
extraordinary compliment to a high intensity spinning ride, it presents
much less of a stress workout on joints, bad knees, etc.
2. The work out is low impact and yet satisfies the need for a full body
workout.
3. The rhythm of the rowing workout can often off set the sudden
intervals that can be contained in a spinning ride.
4. The after effect is the rower will be somewhat fatigued and tired but
will never be sore.
5. The rowing workout is 'sneaky' in the regard that the effort
sometimes is deceiving but when using a heart rate monitor the evidence
of a good solid workout are undeniable.
6. The rhythm of the rowing movement and also the sound of the moving
water create a rhythmic and relaxing workout.
7. The subtle upper body piece that can be incorporated into the workout
is excellent.
8. The key to the workout, I find is the excellent technical technique
taught by the instructors. The support, motivation and discipline make
this one great workout.

Deborah Willig - WaterCrew
Instructor at Inside Out Gym, Memphis, TN
Though a former rower, it had been
over a decade since I was on the water. WaterRower's instructor training
was amazing – not only for teaching in how to plan for a class, but in
bringing back the key essence of the stroke. I improved my intensity by
almost 10% (0.4 M/S) simply by practicing all of the technique tips such
as using my shoulders, hinging from the hips, driving with the balls of
my feet, and remembering to complete the finish of the stroke. I am very
excited to bring this technique training to new rowers!

I love the workout that WaterRower
provides. It can be an intense workout but without any pain or injury
some other exercises may cause. My lower back can be sensitive to
certain movements & I do not have any distress when WaterRowing. I
highly recommend it!
Mr H K - WaterCrew Instructor at Sportschule Fürstenfeldbruck, Germany
The members of my
rowing class are all very enthusiastic, they feel rowing is the only
exercise where they feel they have a super work out.
Our latest attraction at the Sportschule is the cardio group. During
the WaterCrew session each of my trainees is supervised by a Suunto
System controlling the heart rate on my PC screen. Rowing to me is the a
perfect medium to bring my clients and class members back to an
endurance sport which is fun. Over time we have slowly built up
intensity, we started at 40 watts and after 6 weeks we are now at 60
watts. This type of cardio training helps to increase their stamina and
endurance. I’ve had very positive results so far.
